DOOR SUPERVISOR
4 DAY COURSE (GLH 40)

Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry is designed for learners who wish to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor. Learners will develop knowledge relating to the purpose of the industry, the functions of the regulator, legislation and working practices and procedures.  They will also learn about the role and responsibilities of a Door Supervisor, such as searching procedures, physical intervention skills, reporting and record keeping as well as developing skills in resolving conflicts in their role as a Door Supervisor

CCTV OPERATOR
3 DAY COURSE (GLH32)

This qualification is designed for learners who wish to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a CCTV Operator in public space surveillance. It supports a role in the workplace but it does not confirm occupational competence in the sector as the training is not being carried out in a work context.

Learners will develop knowledge relating to the purpose of the industry, the functions of the regulator, legislation and working practices and procedures. They will also develop technical knowledge underpinning the role, duties and responsibilities of a CCTV Operative. This covers areas such CCTV codes of practice, operational procedures and guidelines, relevant legislation, emergency procedures and the importance of effective communication with third parties. Finally, they will develop their practical skills and their abilities in the functional aspects of the role, including, locating and tracking, lost contact drills and capturing images in the context of the CCTV.

SECURITY OFFICER - MAN GUARDING 
3 DAY COURSE (GLH28)

 Level 2 Award for Working as a Security Officer within the Private Security Industry is designed for learners who wish to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Security Officer. Learners will develop knowledge relating to the purpose of the industry, the functions of the regulator, legislation and working practices and procedures.  They will also learn about the role and responsibilities of a Security Officer, such as patrolling, access and egress control, searching procedures, electronic and physical protection systems, reporting and record keeping. They will also learn about legislation as well as developing skills in resolving conflicts in their role as a Security Officer.   

Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Providing Security Services

Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Providing Security Services provides opportunities for a learner to develop knowledge which can be applied in a variety of work environments within the security industry. This includes a mix of generic skills such as customer care, problem solving and teamwork, as well as specialist security knowledge relevant to a wide range of security sectors. These skills are a solid framework for progression to supervisory roles. The qualification encourages flexible methods of learning, gaining experience and assessing achievement. Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Providing Security Services is also approved as a component qualification of the apprenticeship framework for Providing Security Services.

Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety

The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners to enter, or progress within, employment in the stewarding and spectator safety industry. Learners will get an introduction to spectator safety and develop the skills, knowledge and understanding required to work effectively as a steward at spectator events, and promote good practice in stewarding by working towards national standards.

This qualification meets the requirements for training for level 2 stewards, as specified in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) Green Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Purple Guide for Event Safety. This qualification is ideal for learners working in or looking to work in the match day and events stewarding industry. This qualification provides the knowledge and competence requirements for the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Spectator Safety.

Level 3 Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training

The Level 3 Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training has been developed to meet the requirements of trainers who wish to deliver scenario-based conflict management training. This Level 3 Conflict Management qualification is suitable for meeting the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for those delivering training in the Private Security industry.

Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training within the Private Security Industry

The Level 3 Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training has been developed to meet the requirements of trainers who wish to deliver scenario-based conflict management training. This Level 3 Conflict Management qualification is suitable for meeting the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for those delivering training in the Private Security industry.
