Since opening in 2020, AJ Training Academy has been proudly delivering Accredited courses in the security, medical and protection industry.

Our journey began just before the Covid-19 pandemic led to widespread lockdowns, and while this presented significant challenges for many training centres, we were fortunate to be among the few selected to continue operating.

Recognised as providers of a critical service, our security-related courses were deemed essential in assisting with lockdown enforcement and restrictions, allowing us to continue training operatives when they were needed most.

Despite the difficult circumstances, our dedication and adaptability allowed us to maintain momentum throughout the pandemic. As restrictions eased, our reputation only grew bigger.

We have since expanded our course offerings to meet the increasing demand, continuing to deliver high quality, practical training that prepares individuals for a variety of roles in the security sector.

Our growth reflects our commitment to providing crucial industry leading education, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed the needs of our learners and the evolving security landscape.

Situated just a short twenty-minute drive from the stunning Lake District, one of the UK's most iconic national parks, our location allows attendees to enjoy breathtaking scenery and a wide range of outdoor activities after a productive day of learning.

Whether it’s relaxing or or simply exploring the beautiful lakes and mountains, or the harbour area of Maryport, there’s plenty to experience in this peaceful setting.

Our premises are also easily accessible, making it convenient for learners to reach us no matter how they travel. We are just minutes away from a local bus stop and train station, ensuring easy public transport options.

For those arriving by car, we offer off-road parking on-site, though spaces are limited. Should you find the availability full, don’t worry, there is FREE parking available less than a five-minute walk from the training academy, allowing you to park with ease and focus on your learning.

Since we began in 2020, the vast majority of learners at AJ Training Academy have successfully passed their courses on the first attempt. Only a handful of individuals did not pass their test the first time, but we are proud to offer a FREE resit for any module that needs to be retaken. Those who took up the offer have all gone on to pass their assessments and successfully apply for their Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence. Our commitment to our learners is reflected in our very high pass rate, ensuring that we provide the support and guidance needed for everyone to succeed in their training and careers.
